Artistic Director - Marika Caron

Marika is a seasoned dance educator, choreographer, and stage director with deep roots in the performing arts. Born and raised in Laguna Beach, California. Marika began her dance journey at the age of four with Ballet Pacifica, training under esteemed instructors Lila Zali, Kathy Kahn, and Paul Maure. Her foundation spans ballet, tap, jazz, musical theater, and acting—disciplines she continued to refine through advanced training in New York City at renowned institutions such as Steps on Broadway, Broadway Dance Center, Peridance, and American Ballet Theatre, studying with legends like Gelsey Kirkland and David Howard.

Marika began teaching at just 16, and over the years has shared her passion and expertise in ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, acro, musical theater, and competition dance. She has successfully prepared dancers for high-level competitions, including the Youth America Grand Prix (YAGP), and has taught at numerous studios across California and Hawaii.

In addition to teaching, Marika has directed and staged numerous musicals and dance productions, and has worked extensively behind the scenes as a backstage manager in theaters across California and Florida. In 2011, she founded Impact Dance Hawaii in Kapolei, serving as owner and artistic director until 2018 when she moved back to the mainland.

Now back on Oʻahu, Marika is thrilled to return to the local dance community—bringing with her a wealth of experience, a deep love for the arts, and a commitment to ongoing growth, collaboration, and creative expression.


Mālaʻe Mayeda - Tap and Musical Theater

Mālaʻe Mayeda is a multidisciplinary performer from Oʻahu, Hawaiʻi with training in tap, ballet, jazz, ballroom, hula, tahitian, and voice. Through her professional training and performance experience with Disney entertainment and Tihati Productions, she has developed a strong foundation in storytelling, character work, and live performance. Mālaʻe is passionate about helping students not only grow technically, but also discover confidence, creativity, and individuality within their artistry in a supportive and fun environment
