Holiday Showcase 2026

We are so excited to announce that we will be performing a holiday showcase at Ka Makana Ali’i on Saturday November 21 at 2pm.  All students are invited to perform and all classes will be learning a holiday themed dance to perform.  If students are unable to attend the performance they will still learn the dance and be included in the process.  It is a great skill for students to learn and memorize choreography at any age and we are so excited to learn our first dances together at our new studio.  In the younger kids classes, a big kid will onstage with them to help with their dances.  We will begin learning the choreography in most classes next week.

We are also planning out the details of an in studio performance of the Holiday Showcase to be performed either in our studio or in the church next door.  Details are being solidified and will be sent out soon.

Details

-Students must arrive and checkin between 1:30-1:45pm and must come in designated costume/hair/makeup etc.  The show will run approximately 2-2:45pm.  Students should stay the whole time and participate in the finale/bows at the end.  Students under 5 can leave after their dance if they don’t want to stay and bow.  Students must be checked in and checked out again at the designated staff table.

-Costumes will be simple.  Class uniforms may be worn or something students can use from home.  We also have some costume inventory at the studio that some classes will borrow.  Most classes will have a hairpiece or small accessory they must purchase, costs for these will be $5-20 depending on each class.  We will send out costume details at the beginning of October.

-There is a $10 performance fee per student to sign up for the performance.

-Performance attendance is free for friends and family, invite as many people as you like.

-Signups are due by the 5th of October.

-To sign up for the performance, login to your parent portal and choose the Ka Makana Performance “class” option to register and pay the $10 fee.
