General Policies - Payment, Absences, Attendance, Etc

1. Annual Registration Fees - All new and currently enrolled students must pay annual registration fees as well as students who’ve dropped classes for 30 days or more and wish to re-enroll.  Fees are charged at the time of registration or every August for currently enrolled students.  Fees are $25 per student.  Drop in adult students do not need to pay registration fees.

2.  Auto-Pay Info - A credit card must be on file for every student who is not paying by session in full.  Students may pay by check or cash at the front desk by the 28th of the prior month to avoid their card on file being processed.  Autopay will be charged the 2nd of each month.

**SIngle Class Rates are only for teen/adult open classes.  Students cannot use drop in rates to pay for classes.

4.  Absences - Please report absences before they occur.  Please call or email in your absence to the front desk and leave a message before the absence occurs.  Students who miss three weeks in a row or more without notification will be automatically dropped from their classes.

5.  Withdrawl from Classes - Students must provide written notification of withdrawal (email is fine) to the front desk by the 25th of the month prior to the withdrawal month.  (EXAMPLE:  If your student wishes to withdraw for the month of June, written notice would need to be turned in to the studio by May 25th at the latest to stop autopay for the next month.)

6.  Level Advancement - Level advancement will be at the teachers discretion ONLY.  Ballet students levels III and higher will have annual assessments

7.  Attendance Importance - Attendance at every lesson is extremely important and vital for dancers improvement and level advancement.  Absences not only affect the absentee but they affect the entire class as a whole.  Students who miss multiple classes may be removed from all or part of show choreography and no refunds will be issued for costumes or other show fees if this happens.  Students with absences every month may not be eligible to advance at the same rate as their peers.

8.  Tardy Policy - Students that are 15 minutes late or more to class may not be allowed to participate, each teacher will make the decision to let students join in late if they feel they can sufficiently warm up with the time they have.

9.  Waiting Room Policies - Dancers and their siblings must be observed by parents/guardians the entire time families are in the studio.  Students under 7 cannot be left unattended in the studio.

**Students who are not picked up 15 minutes after their class will be charged $5 for each 15 mins they are left.

10.  Email Address - EVERY student must be registered with a valid email address.  Almost all studio communications will be through email and it is each family’s responsibility to ensure they have a current working email on file.

11.  No Refunds - Tuition, costume and registration fees are NONREFUNDABLE. Notification to withdraw from class must be received in writing by the 25th of the month prior to the month you wish to withdraw in order to stop tuition payment for the following month. No exceptions. There is no refund for missed sessions.

12.  Vacation Policy - No refunds or credits will be given for students while on vacation.

13.  Studio Closures - No refunds or credits will be given for holiday closures or weather closures (or any unforeseen events/emergencies/weather that result in studio closure). Tuition is based on the number of classes received per dance year.  Months may have 3, 4, or 5 classes depending on circumstances and tuition prices reflect these variances.

14.  Photo/Video Waiver - All students are required to sign our photo/video waiver along with their registration waiver.

15.  Jewelry - Jewelry can be dangerous to dancers and we are not responsible if  pieces are lost, please have your students remove all jewelry prior to classes.  Tiny ear studs are ok.

16.  48 hr Fever Free - Please be sure all students are fever free for 48 hours before returning to classes.

17.  Conduct - Dancers and their families should exercise good moral conduct.  We have a zero tolerance policy for families that use profanity or inappropriate behavior of any sort in the studio or at any studio events and we reserve the right to refuse instruction if this becomes an issue.

18.  Bullying Policy - Every dancer will need to be respectful of all students and teachers. We will not tolerate any physical or verbal abuse, including name calling or bullying by any student (this includes in person and online and/or social media). If a student disrupts the safety of other students in the class they will be asked to leave without refund. All students must also show respect to the property of others. Any intentional damage to or theft of such property or class equipment will not be tolerated and could result in the student’s dismissal from class without refund. All CP dance teachers will make sure the classroom is a safe environment by upholding these rules and regulations. If a student does not abide by these rules they may be asked to discontinue dance classes until they can use appropriate behavior. At any time, we reserve the right to refuse service based on the above mentioned behaviors.
